Minnetonka Community Education is seeking energetic and creative staff to join our Explorers Summer school-age child care program.  As a Child Care Assistant, you will supervise and engage with children in grades K-5. Your Role Will Include:

• Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities for children.
• Ensure a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for children.
• Set up and clean up classroom activities.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff.

Qualifications:

• Age 18 or older. 
• HS Diploma or GED. 
• No prior child care experience is required, but must have an interest in working with children.
• Ability to follow directions from supervisors and work collaboratively with team members.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Salary and Benefits:

• Starting at $19.08/hour after 7/1/26 $19.65/hour.

Location & Shift Times:

• June 11 - August 21, 2026.
• Excelsior Elementary, Scenic Heights Elementary, Minnetonka Community Education Center.
• Monday - Friday, Available shifts: 7 AM - 1 PM, 12 PM - 6 PM or 8 AM - 4:30 PM.
