Minnetonka Community Education is seeking energetic, creative staff to join our Explorers school-age child care program! After school shifts available at multiple elementary schools starting at 2pm until 5pm or 6pm. Our Child Care Assistants will provide supervision and engage with children in grades K-5. No formal child care experience is required, so if you are passionate about our mission to ensure all students envision and pursue their highest aspirations while serving the greater good. Job responsibilities include:

• Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities for children
• Ensure a safe, engaging and inclusive environment for children 
• Provide set up and clean up of classroom activities 
• Effectively communicate with children, parents, and staff 

Pay & Schedule:

• Starting from $17.50/hour + quarterly stipends
• After school shifts M-F 2:00pm - 5:00 or 6:00pm

Qualifications:

• No prior child care experience is required, but must have an interest in working with children
• Ability to follow directions from supervisors and work collaboratively with team members
• Strong interpersonal communication skills 
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail
